An Original 1956 (from the first release of this movie in Germany) Vintage German Film Program (measures 8" x 11" [20 x 28 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) La Lumiere d'en Face (released in the U.S. in 1957 as "The Light Across the Street" and "Female and the Flesh"), the 1955 Georges Lacombe French bad girl romantic love triangle melodrama ("Temptations of the World! ...with a climax every woman will remember as a new emotional experience!"; "The sensational Brigitte Bardot in 'The Light Across the Street'"; "More woman than any man can handle!"; the plot of the movie owes a lot to "The Postman Always Rings Twice"; Bardot and her husband run a highway restaurant; her husband is recovering from an accident and neglects her, and when a new young handsome man starts to work at the gas station across the street, events progress as you would expect they would) starring Raymond Pellegrin, Roger Pigaut, Brigitte Bardot, Claude Romain, Antonin Berval (billed as "Berval"), Daniel Ceccaldi, Lucien Hubert, Guy Pierauld, and Jean Debucourt. Note that this movie had an extremely limited U.S. subtitled release from UMPO in 1957 as "The Light Across the Street" and " Female and the Flesh" (perhaps solely in major cities at "arthouse" theaters). It was re-released in the U.S. in 1960 under the title of "Female and the Flesh" with English dubbing, and with all new posters, and these posters are often mistakenly sold as being from the first U.S. release. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of all the pages of this 4-page program (we did this by opening it and laying it flat and photographing the front and back cover together, and the interior two pages together). This way, you see the entire program, and can well determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image. But of course this means that the front cover appears in the top right of our image, but normally, the program would be folded down the center and you would view the cover by itself (and it will be sent folded as was originally intended). Condition: good. Learn More about condition grades
