An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 7 3/4" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Max Steiner was a legendary Austrian composer from the 1930s to the 1960s, who scored many of the most memorable Hollywood movies of all time! Some of his movie scores include: Casablanca, Gone With the Wind, King Kong, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, and hundreds of others! He passed away in 1971 at the age of 83. Important Added Info: Note that this 1939 still was personally autographed (signed) by Max Steiner in 1940 (he dated it)! Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7 3/4" x 10" [20 x 25 cm]. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good.
