An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 13 1/2" x 29 3/4" [34 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) The Phynx, the 1970 Lee H. Katzin spy espionage rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) musical screwball comedy ("From an original story by Bob Booker and George Foster") starring The Phynx (Michael A. Miller, Ray Chippeway, Dennis Larden, Lonny Stevens), Lou Antonio, Mike Kellin, Michael Ansara, George Tobias, Joan Blondell, and Ultra Violet. Note that this movie had many famous stars all in cameo roles, most of them playing themselves, including Johnny Weissmuller, Maureen O'Sullivan, Dick Clark, Busby Berkeley, Joe Louis, Ed Sullivan, James Brown, Richard Pryor, Rudy Vallee, Edgar Bergen, Dorothy Lamour, Andy Devine, Huntz Hall, Pat O'Brien, John Hart (as The Lone Ranger), Jay Silverheels (as Tonto), Harold Sakata, Clint Walker, Joan Blondell, Johnny Weissmuller, and many more! In the original script for this movie, many famous celebrities' names were inserted for the dialog for the cameo roles, but there was a page at the beginning that mentioned that those roles could be played by different actors, depending on the availability of those celebrities (originally, they had people like Frank Sinatra, Hopalong Cassidy, Kirk Douglas, Bob Dylan, and more listed, indicating they were aiming really high!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Condition: good. The poster has slight discoloration scattered in some areas from exposure to moisture but this is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration. It is likely that many or most of the stains can be removed chemically, and after proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
