An Original Vintage Unfolded Special Movie Poster (measures 28" x 42") (Learn More) Life for Life, the 1904 silent religious morality melodrama ("Go and sin no more"; "Friends in death"). This was one of the movies made by Barnsdale, an unheralded pioneer of early American cinema. Barnsdale made movies at the turn of the century, and they were all strong on redemption and morality, and he exhibited them at prisons! Many years after his death, his son discovered multiple examples of some of his early posters among his belongings, and included in those were examples of this 1904 poster (it is dated 1904 and it has a litho mark from "American Show Print" in the bottom right). Apparently, the top border of the poster was where show times could be written in (much like window cards). If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: poor. There are tears, stains, creases, and some small areas of paper loss scattered throughout the poster. Please do not bid on this poster unless you are willing to accept its defects.
