Wells) featuring the voice of Orson Welles. Note that this Halloween broadcast became famous for allegedly causing mass panic (where people actually thought the United States was being attacked by Martians!), although the scale of the panic is disputed as the program had relatively few listeners. Important Added Info: Note that this wonderful news photo, which measures 7" x 9 1/4" [18 x 23 cm], is from right after the famed radio broadcast of The War of the Worlds by Orson Welles in 1938, which "panicked the entire nation".
