An Undated (probably 1948) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) History is Made at Night, the 1937 Frank Borzage romantic crime thriller ("Original story by Gene Towne and Graham Baker"; about a man who will do anything to get his ex-wife back, including compelling the captain of an ocean liner to sail into iceberg laden waters!) starring Charles Boyer, Jean Arthur, Leo Carrillo, Colin Clive, and Ivan Lebedeff NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and creases, tears, and tiny areas of paper loss in parts of the vertical foldline. There was some bleed through from grease pencil writing on the back of the middle left of the image, in Arthur's hair and in the background next to it. There were some pinholes, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was not very well backed at all, because some of the paint the restorer used in the vertical foldline has turned red, and is extremely noticeable, and the rest of the restoration is pretty noticeable as well.
