Ferrara, the 1920s Italian ENIT travel poster promoting tourism to Ferrara, Italy. The town has broad streets and numerous palaces dating from the Renaissance, when it hosted the court of the House of Este. For its beauty and cultural importance, it has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Note that this poster features art of Castello Estense (Este castle) which is also known as St. Michael's castle.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a 14" tear in the center of the bottom border going through the middle of the first "A". It had creases and tears in the bottom right corner, with paper loss in the upper right border extending into the green border and slightly into the background next to it. It had a 5" tear in the center of the top border, and a horizontal crease 3" from the top border. It had some tears and paper loss in the rest of the borders. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
