An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Horror Island, the 1941 George Waggner Universal horror murder mystery thriller ("Original Story by Alex Gottlieb"; a wacky story of a man who is hired to help a man who recently inherited an island with a castle on it, and the owner thinks there is treasure on it, and instead of hiring people to go to the island to find it, he sells tickets on a boat cruise, where the passengers get to go to the island and hunt for the treasure, but of course, they find murder as the passengers are killed off one by one, and if the movie seems similar to Agatha Christie's "Ten Little Indians", it is because it is!) starring Dick Foran, Leo Carrillo, Peggy Moran, Fuzzy Knight, Lewis Howard, Walter Catlett, Hobart Cavanaugh, John Eldredge, and Iris Adrian NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned one example of this poster before and that was 27 years ago! Condition: good. The poster has creases along the vertical foldline which have caused tiny creases, tears, bits of paper loss and areas of separation along portions of the vertical foldline and there are tears of varying lengths around the edges and some of the above defects are repaired with tape from the back. It has tape stains around the edges (the original tape was not used for any restoration purpose). It is otherwise "mostly all there" and after proper restoration the ultra rare poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
