An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 40 3/4") (Learn More) Fifth Avenue Girl, the 1939 Gregory La Cava New York City romantic family relationship musical comedy (about a rich New York City man who is neglected by his family, and he invites beautiful but poor Ginger Rogers to move into his house and pretend to be interested in him, and she shakes up the entire family) starring Ginger Rogers, Walter Connolly, Verree Teasdale, James Ellison, Tim Holt, Kathryn Adams, and Franklin Pangborn NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: A.M. Froelich Condition: good to very good. There was a 6" vertical tear just above the top crossfold with small paper loss near the middle of the tear, just above the top crossfold. There was a similar 5" tear below that running from the background to the right of Rogers' jacket, down into the left of the second "F" of "FIFTH", with much paper loss in the top of the "F". Someone taped a piece of another poster over the back of those two areas of paper loss and put clear tape on the back of those tears, and then hand-colored in the front. There were staple holes around the edges of the poster and four sets of them across the top foldline and someone put pieces of clear tape on the back of many of those staple holes. THE POSTER IS IN BETTER CONDITION THAN THE ABOVE MAKES IT SOUND! There is very little actual paper loss (except for the two areas described above), and after a simple linenbacking by a talented professional, this poster will look fantastic, and there will not be much paint restoration!
