An Original Vintage Theatrical French One-Panel Movie Poster (measures approximately 47" x 63") (Learn More) Santo vs Las Mujeres Vampiro (released in other English-speaking countries as "Santo and the Vampires"; released in the U.S. on TV in 1963 as "Samson Versus the Vampire Women"), the 1962 Alfonso Corona Blake Mexican wrestler luchador vampire monster horror action thriller (about a professor who recruits a professional wrestler-crimefighter to protect his daughter from Zarina, Queen of the vampires, who is intent on kidnapping her and marrying her to the devil) starring Santo (the famous Mexican wrestler as El Enmascarado de Plata - The Silver Mask; in the title role), Lorena Velazquez, Jaime Fernandez, Maria Duval, Augusto Benedico, Xavier Loya, and Ofelia Montesco. Note that this was one of the earlier "Santo" movies, and when it was released in the U.S., the distributor did not think the name Santo would mean anything to most U.S. moviegoers, so he was renamed to "Samson" (and similarly in France, he was renamed to "Superman")! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Constantin Belinsky Important Added Info: Note that this French one-panel measures approximately 47" x 63" and is folded. Condition: good to very good. many pinholes and small tears around the edges of the poster (and a lesser number within the image) and areas of separation along the foldlines that are repaired with tape from the back This item is in "lesser" condition (what many dealers would describe as "good" or "good to very good", or in the case of items with major defects, which should be easily seen on our large images, "fair")! It has clear defects, which are likely to be very noticeable in our "large" or "super-sized" images that you can click on from our small image at right (although some of the defects may not be so easily seen in the images). Therefore, in addition to the images, we have also noted in words what these defects are in our "Description of Defects" section above. We know that some collectors could accept this item's defects, and display it as is, and we also know that many collectors would only be happy with this item if they had it restored, so please do not bid on it unless you can accept it as it is, or are willing to pay to have it properly restored. Of course, you should realize that if you do not bid on this item because of its condition defects, it may be quite some time before you see this item offered again! Learn More about condition grades
