What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: poor to fair. The poster had tears and small paper loss on parts of some folds and pinholes and some tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. It appears that after the poster was linenbacked, it acquired much scattered water staining along parts of the folds and in the borders, extending into the excess linen (it is possible that some of the water staining was there prior to backing). In any event, the poster is in urgent need of much additional restoration, so please bear this in mind before bidding on this poster.
