Comics comic book superhero action fantasy thriller ("You'll believe a man can fly."; "Screenplay by Mario Puzo, David Newman, Leslie Newman and Robert Benton"; "Story by Mario Puzo") starring Marlon Brando (as Jor-El), Gene Hackman (as Lex Luthor), Christopher Reeve (in the title role as Superman/Clark Kent), Ned Beatty, Jackie Cooper (as Perry White), Glenn Ford (as Jonathan Kent), Trevor Howard, Margot Kidder (as Lois Lane), Valerie Perrine (as Eva Teschmacher), Maria Schell, Terence Stamp (as General Zod), Phyllis Thaxter (as Martha Kent), Susannah York (as Lara), Marc McClure (as Jimmy Olsen), Aaron Smolinski (as the Baby Clark Kent), and Jeff East (as the adolescent Clark Kent) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had many horizontal folds in the top half of the poster (2" apart); but they are very faint, and they have basically vanished during the linenbacking process; the poster has had minor touch up, but basically was in quite nice condition prior to linenbacking and looks great now!; it should be noted that the person who backed the poster must have done so imperfectly, for the poster is slightly "lifting" from the linen, in the bottom right; I know that any talented restorer could certainly re-glue that area without re-backing the poster, and that minor flaw would be completely corrected!
