Note that William Shatner had made an impression in The Brothers Karamazov in 1958, but his career did not take off afterwards, and starring in this low budget movie did not do much to help his career. He seemed destined for a long career on television (he was on many classic shows including "The Twilight Zone" and "Dr. Kildare"), but then, in 1966, he was cast as Captain James T.
