Meadowlark Lemon was a famous black African American Harlem Globetrotters basketball player from 1955 to 1980, returning in 1994 to play another fifty games! Michael Jordan credited Lemon as being a childhood inspiration, and Wilt Chamberlain called him the best player of all time!

The consignor of this signed photo is a very longtime collector of autographs who obtained this autograph in person (either at a collectibles show or when he met the celebrity backstage), and he knows the autograph is authentic. He has consigned a total of 62 different signed photos to this set of auctions, and this note is on all 62 of those auctions.
