An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Dragstrip Girl, the 1957 Edward L. Cahn AIP romantic love triangle automobile car racing sports action thriller ("Car Crazy! ...Speed Crazy! ...Boy Crazy!"; about a teenage girl who loves to drag race, and she is also torn between choosing a poor boy or a rich boy, who are both competing over her) starring Fay Spain, Steven Terrell (billed as "Steve Terrell"), John Ashley, Frank Gorshin, Tommy Ivo, and Judy Bamber. Note that the four leads are billed as "Hollywood's Newest Teenage Stars". Also note that Tommy Ivo was a child actor who loved fast cars in real life, and when this movie was made, he had a race car that was used in the movie, and eventually he became a professional race car driver! Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had two tears in the top left corner that extended into the "C" of "CAR". It had minor wear on the folds and some creases, smudges, scuffs, and pinholes around the edges, with some stains in the center of the top border, extending into the background. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
