An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M For Murder, the classic 1954 Alfred Hitchcock 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) romantic love triangle crime murder mystery detective suspense thriller ("...is that you, darling?"; "Written by Frederick Knott who wrote the International Stage Success"; "If a woman answers... hang on for dear life!"; "Is this the man she was waiting for... or the man who was waiting for her?"; "Perfect 3 Dimension in the Hitchcock manner!") starring Ray Milland, Grace Kelly, Robert Cummings (Bob Cummings), John Williams, and Anthony Dawson. Note that, although this movie was filmed in 3-D, none of the original posters mention it at all (there is an explanation in the pressbook that because they know many theaters will not show it in 3-D, "the ads have been designed so that the 3D copy may be eliminated" [and obviously, this is why they did not put 3-D on the posters]). Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a collection of seven lesser condition one-sheets from "better" movies that we were consigned. The person who owned them intended to get them linenbacked, and properly restored, but circumstances caused them to never get around to doing that, so we are auctioning them here (in seven separate auctions). Certainly, this poster, after proper restoration will display really well, but bear its defects in mind before bidding. Condition: fair to good. The poster was folded in half an extra time and it has light water staining down the left and right sides of the poster and across the top and bottom folds. It also has yellowed tape stains in the top and bottom borders. The water staining is much more noticeable from the back then from the front. The poster can absolutely be restored, but bear the above in mind and look at our super-sized image before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
