Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Her Second Chance, the 1926 Lambert Hillyer silent Kentucky hillbilly revenge melodrama ("Adapted from Mrs. Wilson Woodrow's Novel"; about a Kentucky mountain girl who is sent to reform school for shooting a trespasser on her land, and after she gets out, she assumes a different identity, so that she can get vengeance on the judge who sent her away, thus squandering "her second chance") starring Anna Q. Nilsson, Huntley Gordon, Charles Murray, Sam De Grasse, and William J. Kelly. Note that the lead in this movie was played by Swedish born Anna Q. Nilsson (the "Q" stood for "Quirentia"), who was thought to have the potential to rival Greta Garbo, but when sound came in, Miss Nilsson went out, due to language problems. Also note that this movie was based on a novel by a woman named Nancy Mann Waddel Woodrow, but her married name was "Mrs. Wilson Woodrow", and the producers gave her a giant credit on the posters as "Mrs. Wilson Woodrow", no doubt hoping to confuse people into thinking she was the wife of the President of the United States, Woodrow Wilson!
