A 1934 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Desert Vengeance, the 1931 Louis King romantic cowboy western melodrama ("The screen's greatest outdoor star in a breath-taking all dialog western!"; this was unusual for Buck Jones, because he does not play a hero!; rather he is an outlaw who gets swindled by a husband and wife team who pose as brother and sister, and when he discovers what they did, he virtually imprisons them, and treats them terribly!) starring Buck Jones ("The screen's greatest outdoor star!"), Barbara Bedford, Douglas Gilmore, Edward Brady, Albert J. Smith, Bob Fleming, and Slim Whitaker. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. There are very minor stains on the cardboard holder, as is common with glass slides. The glass slide itself is in wonderful condition!. This glass slide is one of an amazing collection of 36 glass slides from films of one of the all-time great cowboy stars, Buck Jones! It would take a lifetime to find all of these glass slides again!
