This was a terminology used by MGM at this time for some re-releases, and it has caused some collectors to be confused! This poster is the original poster from the 1947 re-release of this movie, and is NOT a "reprint"! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss and tears at the top crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other crossfolds. It had some small tears in the top quarter of the vertical foldline, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. It had two stamps on the back of the top left and top right that slightly bled through to the front, but solely in the white background areas. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! At some point, the poster was framed, and it was attached to a mat with tape on the front of parts of the excess linen around the edges, but it has no effect on the poster itself at all.
