Comedians vs. Leading Men was a charity fundraiser baseball game between Hollywood top male stars and comedians which took place at Wrigley Field in Chicago from the 1930s to the 1940s. "Leading Men" included: Tyrone Power, Fred Astaire, Gary Cooper, Errol Flynn, Roy Rogers and John Wayne. "Comedians" included: Buster Keaton, Jack Benny, Fred Allen, Leo Carrillo, Chico Marx, and The Ritz Brothers

Important Added Info: Note that this news photo, which measures 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm], shows an image from the 1936 version of this game. Players include: Jack Benny, George Jessel, Andy Devine, Vince Barnett, Stuart Erwin, Roscoe Karns and more! We have previously auctioned news photos from other years, but this is the first one we have had from this year!
