An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) It's Trad, Dad! (released in the U.S. as "Ring-a-Ding Rhythm"), the 1962 Richard Lester (billed as "Dick Lester") English rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) musical comedy ("The newest, most frantic fad! A jazzed-up, mixed-up musical that's got 'trad', dad!"; "It's got that mad jazz beat!"; "Written and produced by Milton Subotsky"; "It's got trad dad... With that mad jazz beat!") starring Chubby Checker, Gary Bonds (billed as "Gary [U.S.] Bonds"), John Leyton (billed as "Special Guest Star John Leyton"), Craig Douglas, Gene Vincent, Brook Brothers, Gene McDaniels, Del Shannon, The Paris Sisters, The Dukes of Dixieland, Chris Barber and His Band with Ottilie Patterson, Mr. Acker Bilk and His Paramount Jazz Men, Kenny Ball and His Jazz Men, Terry Lightfoot and His New Orleans Jazz Band, The Temperance Seven, Bobby Wallis and His Storyville Jazz Men, Helen Shapiro (billed as "introducing Helen Shapiro"), and "Your Favourite Disc Jockeys" David Jacobs, Pete Murray, and Alan Freeman. Note that this was an early English rock & roll movie, which included "25 Great Numbers", released under the title "It's Trad, Dad!". The movie was given a U.S. release, but the title was meaningless in the U.S., so it was re-titled "Ring-a-Ding Rhythm", and quite naturally, the U.S. posters prominently feature the U.S. stars, while the original English posters prominently feature the English stars! There are a few tape stains throughout as well as some discoloration throughout the poster from exposure to moisture. Learn More about condition grades
