An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Love Me Tender, the 1956 Robert D. Webb Civil War romantic rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) musical ("Mr. Rock 'N' Roll in the story he was born to play!"; "...singin' man ...fightin' man ...lovin' man"; "Based on a story by Maurice Geraghty") starring Richard Egan, Debra Paget, Elvis Presley (billed as "introducing Elvis Presley in his first motion picture"; in his first movie!), Robert Middleton, William Campbell, Neville Brand, Mildred Dunnock, Bruce Bennett, and James Drury. Note that producer Hal Wallis intended the 1957 film "Loving You" to be the first Elvis film. However, six months before the start of production for that project, Wallis loaned Elvis to 20th Century Fox and "Love Me Tender" became his first movie. There are some pairs of staple holes around the edges, two small areas of surface paper loss in the borders, and a tiny pinhole in the bottom center of the image, but the still is otherwise in pretty good condition.
