An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Found Alive (On the Delta of the Rio Grande), the 1933 Charles Hutchison (he starred in a series of silent serials where he always played the character "Hurricane Hutch") Mexico jungle adventure thriller ("Lure of savage passions"; "Lurking terrors of the jungle! The lure of savage love!"; "Story by Captain Jacob Conn"; about a mother who kidnaps her son to the Mexican jungle) starring Barbara Bedford, Maurice Murphy, Robert Frazer, Edwin Cross, and Ernie Adams. Note that in modern times we don't think of Mexico as being the setting for a "jungle" movie, but obviously this was not the case in 1934! Note also that this movie was distributed state by state through the "states rights" system, so it is difficult to know what posters are from the very first release (any posters from this movie are extremely rare!). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned the one-sheet, three-sheet, and title card from this movie, but all three have rather bland images, with no animals on them. This great half-sheet, which we have never auctioned before, has a wonderful image of a bear attacking (in case you were wondering, there WERE bears in Mexico, which were Mexican grizzly bears, but the last one died in the 1960s!). Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: fair. There are many pieces of yellowed tape around the edges, and two in the left of the horizontal fold. There are scratches and surface paper loss in the man at lower left, where a long piece of tape was removed, and there is a long piece of yellowed tape diagonally in the lower right of the image. While the poster can be rescued through restoration, it is obviously in much lesser condition, so bear this in mind before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
