Bold intrigue!"; "Notorious woman of affairs... Adventurous man of the world!"; "Unceasing excitement... Relentless suspense!"; "Adventurous Man! Notorious Woman! - the boldest deception two lovers ever dared!"; "Deep their love! Great the risk!"; "Written by Ben Hecht"; one of Hitchcock's absolute best movies; the plot is wildly implausible, but the quality of the acting of the entire cast and the great direction are so good that you don't care!) starring Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman, Claude Rains (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Louis Calhern, Leopoldine Konstantin (billed as "Madame Leopoldine Konstantin", in a wonderful sinister performance as Claude Rains' mother!), E.A. Krumschmidt, Lenore Ulric, and Reinhold Schunzel NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this card is completely unrestored and has never had any restoration of any kind, nor has there been any tape on the front or back of the card. The back of the card is completely blank, except for a 1/2" x 2" printed white sticker (in the center of the back of the card) which was put on by the owner of the collection, and has no effect on the front of the card. Condition: fine. Note that the card has a very minor printing defect, which is a series of faint light blue lines down the left edge of the left blank border. This was a very minor printing defect that occurred during the printing of these cards, and it is found on many 1950s and early 1960s lobby cards, and few collectors consider it much of a defect at all, because it is in the left edge of the blank border, has no effect on the image, and would likely be on all examples of this lobby card. Otherwise, the card has a few faint smudges in the middle of the right blank border, and is overall in excellent condition! IN THIS SPECIAL ALFRED HITCHCOCK LOBBY CARD AUCTION, we have given a more detailed overall condition grade along with more details about the condition described in words. Of course, we could not describe every single defect, plus there are some defects (like tape on the back, extremely tiny pinholes, etc) which can be VERY difficult to see, even in our largest "super-sized" image. Therefore we strongly recommend that you BOTH read our written description of the item, AND ALSO look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.
