Henry; about a reformed safe cracker who has obtained a job at a bank, and a romance with the bank owner's daughter, but then a detective discovers his past, and might ruin him, but then a little girl is locked in the bank vault, and the hero rescues the girl, even though it will likely cause him to go to prison, but the detective recognizes his good deed, and lets him off) starring William Haines (in the title role as Jimmy Valentine), Lionel Barrymore, Leila Hyams, Karl Dane, and Tully Marshall. Note that this was MGM's first "talking" movie, and they billed it as "A great talking picture!", but actually, the picture is 90% silent, with just a few inserted talking sequences!. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving complete copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. There are some stains in the black borders around the image and some smudges on the cardboard. Learn More about condition grades
