An Original Vintage Folded Local Theater One-Sheet Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) A Bout de Souffle (released in the U.S. in 1961 as "Breathless"), the classic 1960 Jean-Luc Godard French New Wave romantic gangster crime thriller (about a small time thief who steals a car and murders a policeman, and he tries to persuade his beautiful American journalism student girlfriend to run away to Italy with him, but she has misgivings) starring Jean Seberg, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Daniel Boulanger, Jean-Pierre Melville, Henri-Jacques Huet, Liliane David, Claude Mansard, and Van Doude. Note that this movie, together with Francois Truffaut's "Les quatre cents coups" began the French "New Wave", which revolutionized film-making, not only in France, but the world over! Important Added Info: Note that a theater in the U.S. was showing this movie, but they did not have a poster for it, although they had at least three stills. So they came up with a creative solution. They took a stock one-sheet that has a printed background and space for three stills, and a top blank area, and they glued three stills from this movie onto it and put the title across the middle in white paint with the word "FRENCH" below it, and for some reason, they added "CINEMATIC REVIEW" to the top. We guess it worked to display the movie. The stills could be removed from the poster, but they were folded along with the poster when the poster was folded. Condition: fair. One of the stills that was originally on the poster is gone, and there are stains scattered through the poster, with some paper loss on folds and around the edges.
