An Original Vintage Theatrical English Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" [8 x 8 cm]) (Learn More) Bathing Beauty, the 1944 George Sidney romantic aquatic swimming musical comedy ("M-G-M's mammoth Technicolor musical spectacle!") starring Red Skelton, Esther Williams, Basil Rathbone, Bill Goodwin, Ethel Smith, Jean Porter, Carlos Ramirez, Harry James & His Music Makers, Helen Forrest, Xavier Cugat & His Orchestra, and Lina Romay. Note that this was Esther Williams' first movie that focused on her great athletic swimming ability, and she was basically the star of the movie, even though she was second billed to much bigger star Red Skelton (and she was primarily the focus of all the movie advertising). Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
