The Night Bird, the 1928 Fred C. Newmeyer silent romantic love triangle boxing sports comedy ("It's a Universal"; "story by Frederick and Fanny Hatton"; a cute movie about a young boxer who is about to fight for the light heavyweight championship; the night before, he meets a pretty young Italian girl, and she chastely spends the night in his apartment, but in the morning, the boxer's manager convinces her that she is a bad match for the boxer, so she leaves; the boxer is miserable, and at his match, he is getting beaten badly, but then the girl's brother comes and tells the boxer during the match that his sister does love him and he should stop her arranged marriage, at which point the boxer immediately knocks out his opponent and then runs to the wedding, where he marries the girl instead!) starring Reginald Denny, Betsy Lee, Sam Hardy, Harvey Clark, and Corliss Palmer
