A 1956 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Forty by Sixty Movie Poster (measures 40" x 60") (Learn More) Abbott and Costello Meet the Killer, Boris Karloff, the 1949 Charles Barton screwball horror comedy ("More Ghoulish glee... Than when they met Frankenstein!"; "Help") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Boris Karloff, Lenore Aubert, and Gar Moore. Note that this movie was originally titled "Easy Does It", and it was intended to be a Bob Hope comedy! However, the movie "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" had just come out and was a huge hit, and Universal reworked the script for Abbott & Costello, and changed the title to "Abbott and Costello Meet the Killers"! In that script, the lead villain was a FEMALE character named "Madame Switzer"! Five days before shooting began, Boris Karloff was hired, and the character became a swami, and the title of the movie was changed yet again, to include Boris Karloff's name! Important Added Info: Note that there is paper loss in the top of Costello's hat and in the background above it and two much smaller areas of surface paper loss to the right of that area in the yellow background. It appears that a paper snipe was attached to the poster at one time and was roughly removed, causing the above paper loss. Other than this paper loss, the poster is in pretty good condition. Also note that this poster was never machine folded. Most movie posters from before 1980 were machine folded immediately after printing, but a very few were left unfolded. An unfolded poster from before 1980 is almost always far more difficult to find than a folded poster of the same title, and finding unfolded posters in excellent condition is even more difficult!
