It is best known for the introduction of Superman in its very first issue in 1938 (by teenagers Joe Schuster and Jerry Siegel), and he also appeared on the cover, and it remained a leading comic book for many decades. Artist: Joe Shuster Important Added Info: Note that in 1976, the Nestle company made a deal with DC Comics to make a full-size reprint of Action Comics #1, but just showing the Superman story, and with the original classic cover pretty much as it was originally printed in 1938. This promotional giveaway proved very successful and Nestle reprinted it in 1983, and again in 1987. WHAT IS OFFERED HERE IS THE ONE FROM 1987!
