An Original Vintage Linenbacked Circus Poster (measures 21 1/4" x 28" [54 x 71 cm]) (Learn More)

Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey Circus, a 1944 circus poster featuring a great image of four giraffes grazing in a field ("The Greatest Show on Earth"). If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. The modern version of the circus started in 1919 when the Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth, a circus created by P. T. Barnum and James Anthony Bailey, was merged with the Ringling Bros. World's Greatest Shows. With weakening attendance and high operating costs, the circus closed on May 21st, 2017 after 146 years.

Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. It had pinholes and creases in the corners. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
