Metallica is an American heavy metal rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) band from 1981 to the present. Current members include: James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo. They have released nine studio albums, four live albums, won eight Grammy Awards, and five of their albums have consecutively debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. In 2009, Metallica was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
