An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (measures 13 3/4" x 21 3/4"; 18 pages) (Learn More) Lights of Old Broadway (also released as "Little Old New York"), the 1925 Monta Bell silent New York City romantic family relationship adoption sister melodrama ("Based on the Stage Success 'Merry Wives of Gotham' by Laurence Eyre"; "When Broadway was a lover's lane"; about twin orphan Irish sisters who go to New York and are adopted by two different families, and one becomes a saloon singer and the other a member of the upper crust) starring Marion Davies (in a dual role as twin sisters!), Conrad Nagel, Frank Currier, George K. Arthur, and Charles McHugh NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good. the pressbook was folded in half and there is a 6" tear along the right edge of the foldline that extends through all the pages; the cover is printed on a much better quality paper than the interior pages and the interior pages are very fragile; the covers have many creases and scuffs throughout. Basically, the pressbook is all there, but it must be handle very carefully. This item is in "lesser" condition (what many dealers would describe as "good" or "good to very good", or in the case of items with major defects, which should be easily seen on our large images, "fair")! It has clear defects, which are likely to be very noticeable in our "large" or "super-sized" images that you can click on from our small image at right (although some of the defects may not be so easily seen in the images). Therefore, in addition to the images, we have also noted in words what these defects are in our "Description of Defects" section above. We know that some collectors could accept this item's defects, and display it as is, and we also know that many collectors would only be happy with this item if they had it restored, so please do not bid on it unless you can accept it as it is, or are willing to pay to have it properly restored.
