An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Complete Change of Pictures Daily ("The candy machines on the backs of the chairs require only 5 cents."). When I first saw this slide, I thought "what a great idea to have candy machines on the backs of chairs", but on further reflection, this seems like one of the silliest ideas ever, because juveniles would almost certainly break into the machines and steal the candy and the money, plus the machines may well have made noises that were annoying! This was a "helpful instruction" glass slide that was shown along with coming attraction glass slides between movies at a 1920s movie theater (we have seen these in movie scenes showing old time theaters, but it is likely that very few of these survive). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. We have provided both a high quality scan of the image and also a separate image of how the glass slide looks, but in that digital image, you can really just see the outline of the slide and defects (if any) around the edges. Condition: fair to good. The blank pane of glass is missing, but the pane with the image is in pretty good condition (someone put masking tape on the bottom). Learn More about condition grades
