An Unfolded Advertising Poster (measures 31 1/2" x 47 1/4" [80 x 120 cm]) (Learn More)

Bieres Laubenheimer (literally translates to "Laubenheimer Beers"), the circa 1915 French liquor alcohol advertising poster promoting Laubenheimer beer, and featuring art of King Henry IV holding a stein of beer while on a white horse by Georges Ripart. Note that finding the exact date of this poster is difficult because research indicates it is likely between 1900 to 1925. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Artist: Georges Ripart

Condition: very good. The poster is slightly brittle, as one would expect, and there is a 2" tear in the upper right edge and a few smaller tears and areas of tattering and small paper loss around the edges with some repaired with conservation tape from the back. There are a few very minor creases in the borders around the edges of the poster. The poster is otherwise in nice condition, especially considering its age, and it displays well!
