An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style B Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Heart of the Golden West, the 1942 Joseph Kane singing cowboy western starring Roy Rogers ("King of the Cowboys"), Smiley Burnette, George 'Gabby' Hayes, Bob Nolan & the Sons of the Pioneers, Ruth Terry, Walter Catlett, Paul Harvey, Edmund McDonald, Leigh Whipper, William Haade, The Hall Johnson Choir, and Trigger (uncredited in this early Roy Rogers film) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned this style B half-sheet in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: fair to good. The poster had paper loss in Rogers' cheek between his eye and ear. It had creases, scuffs and tiny bits of surface paper loss along the horizontal fold and a scuff mark running through the upper part of Rogers' face slightly entering one eye. Someone taped a piece of paper to the back of the paper loss in Rogers' cheek but otherwise did virtually no restoration to the poster. The above defects are quite noticeable from close up but from any reasonable viewing distance they are not that distracting, and of course, additional restoration could be performed.
