eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 1h574 EDITH FELLOWS signed 8x10 publicity still 1986 head & shoulders portrait late in her career! Date Sold 10/28/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) Edith Fellows was a mostly juvenile actress from 1929 to 1954. Her grandmother was tricked into thinking she could get her granddaughter into show business for $50, and she went to Hollywood with her, but it was a fake. But fortunately, she went to an audition in 1929 and got the part! She had many juvenile roles in the 1930s, with the best one in "Pennies From Heaven" in 1936. The highlight of her career was in a series of four films for Columbia about the "Five Little Peppers" in 1939 and 1940. Because she never grew past 4 foot 10 inches, she continued playing juvenile roles until 1955, when she essentially retired. In 1981, she returned to acting as a supporting actress on TV and she passed away in 2011 at the age of 88. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Edith Fellows! Also note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who has been a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1970s on. He purchased the signed photos that were in the inventory of a long running Hollywood memorabilia store, and he has consigned a large number of them to us, and we are auctioning them here, including this item. The store would get items signed when celebrities visited them, and they also bought collections of signed items, but of course only when they were convinced that they were genuine! Both we and our consignor feel it is extremely likely that the autograph on this item is authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
