Date Sold 11/15/2012Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) Juliet Prowse was born in India to South African parents. She was an actress from the 1950s to the 1990s. She had been in the Juliet Prowse Trio dancing in Rome, Italy, and MGM choreographer Hermes Pan saw her and recommended she be cast in the role of Shirley MacLaine's sister in Can-Can! In 1960, she became romantically involved with Frank Sinatra, and they soon became engaged, and she co-starred with Elvis Presley in G.I. Blues, and it seemed like she had an unlimited future. But then she broke up with Sinatra and her movie career fizzled. In 1965, she appeared on the short-lived TV series "Mona McCluskey", and that was the end of her TV and movie career, although she performed for a long time on the stage. She passed away in 1996 at the age of 59. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Juliet Prowse! Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who has been a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items. Both we and our consignor feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity. Condition: very good to fine. The REPRO is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
