An Autographed 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" [14 x 22 cm] Sheet of Carbon Paper (Learn More)

Tab Hunter was an actor from the 1950s to the 2000s. Some of his movies include: Battle Cry, Damn Yankees!, and The City Under the Sea. He resurfaced in the 1980s, playing the leads in two John Waters films: Polyester, and Lust in the Dust. He was initially billed as the "Sigh-Guy", and teen girls loved him, not knowing his secret, which was that he was a gay homosexual actor at a time when you could not "come out of the closet", and the studios manufactured romances for him, including a notable one with Natalie Wood. He finally came out of the closet in a tell-all book that he wrote in 2003, but it was not published until 2005. Hunter married Allan Glaser, his companion since 1983, in 2018. Tab passed away in 2018 at the age of 86.
Important Added Info: This carbon paper has been personally autographed (signed) by Tab Hunter. It is a special double sheet with an original piece of paper on top and a carbon underneath. Mr. Hunter hand signed the top sheet and therefore there is a carbon copy of his signature on the bottom sheet as well (we didn't picture it, because we don't think a carbon copy of his signature is worth much). It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display!

Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic.

As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.

Condition: very good.
