Sail to high adventure with 'The Robin Hood of the Sea'!"; set in the time of the war between England and Spain, and the English navy has had no success against the Spanish armada, and in desperation, Queen Elizabeth hires a buccaneer to see what he can do, and of course, he has much success!) starring Errol Flynn, Brenda Marshall, Claude Rains, Donald Crisp, Flora Robson (as Queen Elizabeth I), Alan Hale Sr., and Henry Daniell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had tears, stains, and tiny areas of paper loss along most of the folds, including the ones in Flynn's face at top center. It had pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. Given the poster's many defects, the person who did the backing did a fairly good job, but they felt they had to paint over all of the solid colored areas, to "even them out", and the poster has a "heavily restored" look, and you can clearly see signs of the restoration, so bear that in mind and look at our super-sized image before bidding on this poster.
