An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Advance One-Sheet Foil Poster (measures 25" x 39 3/4") (Learn More) Superman: The Movie, the classic 1978 Richard Donner English/U.S. science fiction (sci-fi) D.C. Comics comic book superhero action fantasy thriller ("You'll believe a man can fly."; "Screenplay by Mario Puzo, David Newman, Leslie Newman and Robert Benton"; "Story by Mario Puzo") starring Marlon Brando (as Jor-El), Gene Hackman (as Lex Luthor), Christopher Reeve (in the title role as Superman/Clark Kent), Ned Beatty, Jackie Cooper (as Perry White), Glenn Ford (as Jonathan Kent), Trevor Howard, Margot Kidder (as Lois Lane), Valerie Perrine (as Eva Teschmacher), Maria Schell, Terence Stamp (as General Zod), Phyllis Thaxter (as Martha Kent), Susannah York (as Lara), Marc McClure (as Jimmy Olsen), Aaron Smolinski (as the Baby Clark Kent), and Jeff East (as the adolescent Clark Kent) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this special foil poster measures 25" x 39 3/4". Also note that this poster has never been folded! Most insert posters were folded twice horizontally right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded copy of most inserts, especially from before 1970! FINALLY NOTE THAT OUR DIGITAL IMAGE DOES NOT DO JUSTICE TO THIS POSTER! It is nearly impossible to properly professionally photograph a reflective foil poster. We COULD have used a digital image from another source (probably either "cleaned up" or created from the scan the poster was created from) or we could have "cleaned up" our image, but we thought it was important to show the actual poster being sold, even if we were unable to eliminate the glare, due to the reflectivity of the poster's surface. Condition: very good. slightly diagonal creases along the upper right edge as well as some creases along the bottom below the credits area and minor creases and scuffs throughout the poster. This poster does have clear defects, but so do just about all examples of this foil poster that were actually used in theaters. It would be wonderful to find an example of this poster with no creases, but that would only happen if it had never been used. Learn More about condition grades
