Anthony Hordern & Sons was a major department store in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The business started in 1823 and in 1901 they had the largest department store in the world, named The Palace Emporium. Sadly, the business was defunct in 1973, and the historic Palace Emporium building was controversially demolished in 1986.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. It had a few faint smudges around the edges, with a tiny tear in the left border. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
