An Original Vintage Folded Stage Play Poster (measures 14 1/4" x 25 3/4" [36 x 65 cm]) (Learn More) On Hand; or, True to the Last, the circa 1880s poster promoting a stage play production starring John Thompson (billed as "The World famous comedian"), which was held at Mrs. John Drew's Arch Street Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Note that this poster features artwork of John Thompson and various characters, along with wild action scenes. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: fair to good. The poster has much staining throughout, and the staining has caused much separation in the folds that has been repaired with many pieces of tape from the back (see our image). It has paper loss in three corners. Fortunately it is still pretty colorful and is mostly "all there" and after proper restoration the very rare poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
