A 1967 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 37 1/4" x 52 1/2") (Learn More) Zane Grey's Fighting Caravans, the 1931 Otto Brower & David Burton romantic cowboy western ("A stirring, thrilling spectacle of the indomitable courage of men and women... their hardship - their loves!"; based on the novel by Zane Grey; about a rough cowboy who gets a pretty girl to pose as his wife to avoid going to jail, and he takes her on a wagon train to California, still posing as his wife, and he comes to show her respect and ends up saving the entire wagon train as well) starring Gary Cooper, Lili Damita, Ernest Torrence, Fred Kohler, and Tully Marshall NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Mario Piovano Condition: good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of some foldlines. There were many tiny areas of surface paper loss around the edges of the poster, including in the top left of Cooper's hat. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was not very well backed, on an odd type of thick linen, and the restorer did inferior foldline restoration and did not address the surface paper loss around the edges of the poster.
