An Original 1940 Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) St. Martin's Lane (released in the U.S. in 1940 as "Sidewalks of London"), the 1938 Tim Whelan English London England street performer beggars acting romantic comedy ("They sing for pennies"; about "buskers", who were street performers in London, and an old performer meets a beautiful young pickpocket, and he convinces her to join his act, and then she catches the eye of a rich man, who does not know she previously robbed him, and he wants to take her away from her current life) starring Charles Laughton, Vivien Leigh, Rex Harrison, Larry Adler, Tyrone Guthrie, Maire O'Neill, Gus McNaughton, and Polly Ward NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
