An Undated (probably 1927) Re-Release Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) His Royal Slyness, the 1920 Hal Roach (who also produced the film) silent royalty impersonation political revolution comedy short (about an American book salesman who goes to a mythical European country and impersonates the king, who he looks exactly like, but the peasants have a revolution, and they elect the salesman as their first president!) starring Harold Lloyd (in a dual role), Mildred Davis, 'Snub' Pollard, Gus Leonard, Noah Young, and Roy Brooks. Note that Harold Lloyd would marry his co-star Mildred Davis three years after this movie was made, and they remained married until her passing in 1969. Important Added Info: Note that the poster is undated, but it has a litho number, and comparing this number to our massive database of litho numbers taken from actual movie posters, we can determine that this poster is almost certainly from 1927 (or possibly 1928)! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had much paper loss between the top and bottom crossfolds, with a 1" circular areas of paper loss at each crossfold. There were a few tears and tiny paper loss on the rest of the folds, and many pinholes around the edges and pinholes scattered around the edges of the image. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed given the extensive defects that it had, and it displays surprisingly well, but you can definitely see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
