An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #2 (11x14; LC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) 4 Clowns, the 1970 Robert Youngson comedy compilation of silent classics ("These are the 4 clowns who made the Roaring 20's ROAR!"; "The Film That Welcomes Back The BELLY LAUGH!"; "Produced by Robert Youngson winner of two Academy Awards") starring Stan Laurel ("The Bow"), Oliver Hardy ("The Fiddle"; Laurel & Hardy), Buster Keaton ("The Great Stone Face"; "Pursued by brides and boulders in the greatest chase the screen has known."), Charley Chase ("Playboy of the Flapper Age"; "The eternal 'Good Time Charley' whose elk's tooth had a cavity."; primarily remembered as a great silent comedian who appeared in 276 movies, most of them comedy shorts, Chase also directed 140 comedy shorts), and narrated by Jay Jackson. Note that compiler Robert Youngson apparently was unable or unwilling to acquire the rights to include Charlie Chaplin clips in this movie, so he sneakily included some clips of Billy West, who was a Chaplin imitator, which allowed some of the distributors of the movie to include an image of "Chaplin" on the poster (which was actually Billy West, but nobody viewing the poster could possibly know that!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: fine. Note that this lobby card is in excellent condition and is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back of the card! Learn More about condition grades
