A Hardcover Bound Volume of Original Vintage Magazines (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm]) (Learn More) Dell Magazine One-Shot Issues, the bound volume containing one-shot magazines that Dell Publishing published in 1948 through 1950, which includes Babe Ruth As I Knew Him, Bing Crosby Album, Shirley Temple 21st Birthday Album, Betty Grable Life Story Album, and Perry Como Album. Note that the Babe Ruth magazine is written by Waite Hoyt, who was a teammate of Ruth's on the 1927 Yankees and who became a major sportscaster, and was a close friend of Ruth's! All five magazines are heavily illustrated. Important Added Info: Note that this is a bound volume of magazines published by Dell Publishing from 1948 to 1950. Apparently, someone at the company had bound volumes like these created, likely soon after the magazines were published (this bound volume has the names of the individual comics contained within printed in bold on the spine of the bound volume). This bound volume has five magazines in it: Babe Ruth, Bing Crosby, Shirley Temple, Betty Grable, and Perry Como. Our consignor obtained this many decades ago when Dell Publishing was doing some "house cleaning"! Condition: good. The bound volume surely originally contained magazines in excellent condition, but due to how they were stored, they are fragile and brown around the edges. The covers are not nearly as fragile, because they were printed on better paper. Look closely at our images before bidding on this bound volume of very rare magazines.
