Silent Movie, the 1976 Mel Brooks California silent movie-making comedy ("Made in Hollywood, U.S.A."; "Story by Ron Clark"; about two men attempting to produce the first major silent movie in forty years) starring Mel Brooks, Marty Feldman, Dom DeLuise, Sid Caesar, Harold Gould, Ron Carey, Bernadette Peters, Paul Newman, Liza Minnelli, and Marcel Marceau (the famous mime; ironically, he speaks the only words in the movie!)
