An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) the theatrical release of Once Upon a Wheel, the 1971 David Winters Canadian/U.S. made-for-TV automobile car racing driving sports documentary ("Greatest Racing film ever made!"; "Featuring the world's Top Racing Drivers in scorching action!"; "Exciting Guest Stars!"; "With all the action set to music!") starring Al Unser, Mario Andretti, Bobby Isaac, Denis Hulme, Pedro Rodriguez, Parnelli Jones, Lee Roy Yarborough, Bobby Unser, Jackie Stewart, Jakcy Ickx, Stirling Moss, Mark Donohue, Graham Hill, John Surtees, Jack Brabham, Peter Tevson, Craig Breedlove, Kirk Douglas, Dick Smothers, Arte Johnson, Hugh Downs, Stephen Boyd, Glenn Ford, Dino Martin, Cesar Romero, Pancho Gonzalez, "and many others", and hosted by Paul Newman. In addition to all the top racing drivers, there were cameos by famous Hollywood celebrities, and music by top rock stars of the day including James Taylor, Neil Young, Kenny Rogers & The First Edition, Wilson Picket, Arlo Guthrie, Cher, and Fresh Air and The Association! Note that this was a TV documentary about the history of car racing, that featured appearances by famous race car drivers and also famous actors. Some clever promoter released this documentary theatrically (both in the U.S. and internationally) as a regular feature movie, giving Paul Newman top billing (no doubt to cash in on his huge popularity at the time)! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we had seen an Italian poster from this documentary, but had never before seen a U.S. poster of any kind (in fact, until we saw this poster, we did not realize this movie was ever released theatrically in the U.S.). Condition: good to very good. There are some small tears in the center of the top foldline, a small tear near the center of the poster, and small tears and tiny areas of paper loss in the bottom blank border. Other than the above (easily corrected through linenbacking), the poster is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
